It's inevitable that the Atlanta Falcons will lose but to lose to the Patriots when the day of Tom Brady domination is over??? The Falcons were picked to win by 3 of the 5 Fox Football Sunday crew because of Matt Ryan and his cool demeanor on and off the field. Boy, were they surprised!
Now, it's not Matt's fault that they lost to the Patriots. There is a long standing tradition for the Patriots when facing a first time opponent to their home field. I heard a stat that the Patriots have won 25 (now 26) of the last 29 (now 30) games against teams that have never traveled to their home turf. Wow! Hard to fight those odds.
The Falcons had a chance to gain some momemtum in New England on Sunday but the Patriots had a better offense in the second half of the game.
Now, the New Orleans Saints looked good offensively and defensively against the Bills. Now, don't get me wrong but aren't the Bills a lot like the Detroit Lions (Detroit finally breaks 19 game skid)? Is it a big surprise that the Saints won yesterday? Not really. Hopefully the Saints will realize they don't have a chance against the Falcons and the Saints will start losing now to prepare for their ultimate defeat by Matt Ryan.
And finally, this goes out to Anna.....what are you planning on serving for the Monday night game? I'm gonna be very hungry that night so I hope you have come up with an elaborate menu. There won't be much need for you or Chip to leave the kitchen because there won't be much to see other than the Saints getting thrashed by the Falcons!!!
